For those of you who would like to know a little bit more about Peacock Hill...

c. 1840 a Land Grant of 100 acres was made to John Jenkins Peacock

Current Size: 20 acres (8 Ha), comprising 4Ha vines and 4Ha dams, gardens, roads etc.
Vines Planted Shiraz – 1968-69 &1995, Cabernet Sauvignon- 1968-69, Chardonnay- c.1984, Cabernet Franc- reworked 2003
Soil: Sandy Loam/Sandy clay loam
Trellissing: VSP (Vertical Shoot Positioning)
Vine Row Orientation: North-South
Pruning: June, July, August –hand pruning
Harvest January, February, March depending on variety & style
Production: 600-1,500 dozen depending on seasonal conditions
