Winter Dinner 2007-a culinary and social triumph!
On a chilly winter's weekend members of the Top of the Hill Club travelled to The Hunter with partners and friends to make new friends, share a laugh and enjoy great food matched with Peacock Hill wines. Our Winter Dinner evening began with canapés and drinks around a cosy fire....

Canapés

Zucchini Blinis with Smoked Salmon, Roasted Eschallot & Whipped Mascarpone
Crostinis of Roasted Mushroom and Binnorie Dairy Labna
 (Served with Absent Friends, Fond Memories)

We then retired to a private room to be entertained by George's unique style of presentation in which he outlined the wines, why they were matched to each course and also fielded questions/comments throughout the evening.

Slow Braised Lamb Shanks with Vietnamese Mint &
Water Chestnut Pesto on Roasted Garlic Mash Potatoes
(Served with 1998 Faith Cabernet Sauvignon, 2006 A Great Life Cabernet Sauvignon/Cabernet Franc/Shiraz)

Lucky 'Top of the Hill Club' member Maya was the winner of our weekend away for four at Peacock Hill Vineyard lodge. She was last seen attracting many new friends!!

The evening closed with a chance to meet Chef Andrew, more laughs and Club members looking forward to the next Winter Dinner!
